Haoyu Liu is a New York–licensed attorney. He earned his LL.M. from Boston University School of Law and focuses his practice on real estate transactions, family law, business sales, lease agreements, and contract matters.

Mr. Liu brings extensive practical experience developed through years within Chen Legal Group, where he worked across a broad range of real estate, business, and family law matters. Through this long-term involvement, he developed a strong command of transaction workflows, case preparation, and client service across multiple practice areas, giving him a practical understanding of how matters are handled from intake through resolution.

He represents clients in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including condominiums, co-ops, single- and multi-family homes, and commercial properties. His work includes contract drafting and negotiation, due diligence review, title analysis, and closing coordination. He is known for his detail-oriented approach and his ability to help clients navigate transactions efficiently while identifying and addressing potential issues early in the process.

In family law matters, Mr. Liu represents clients in both contested and uncontested divorce proceedings, as well as in the preparation and negotiation of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements. He advises clients on a full range of issues, including custody, child support, spousal support, and equitable distribution. Drawing on both negotiation and litigation experience, Mr. Liu approaches each matter with a practical, solutions-oriented mindset, seeking to resolve disputes efficiently while protecting his clients’ rights and long-term interests.

Mr. Liu also advises clients on business transactions and commercial matters, including the purchase and sale of restaurants, retail businesses, and other small to mid-sized businesses. He assists with lease negotiations, contract drafting and review, and general business agreements, helping clients structure transactions in a clear and legally sound manner.
