Mengyin Chen was born in New York City and raised in Northeast Philadelphia. With a strong cross-cultural background and broad legal experience, she founded Chen Legal Group to provide professional, reliable, and comprehensive legal services to the Chinese-American community and clients from diverse backgrounds. With offices in Philadelphia, Flushing, and Brooklyn, the firm serves individuals and businesses across a wide range of legal matters, including immigration, criminal defense, business law, real estate, and estate planning.

Ms. Chen’s practice spans multiple areas of law, with particular depth in immigration and criminal defense, as well as significant experience in business and transactional matters. She previously served as lead immigration attorney at a well-known law firm in Flushing, New York, where she handled a wide range of complex immigration matters, including asylum applications, waivers of inadmissibility, marriage-based and family-based green cards, SIJ petitions, removal of conditions, appeals, and mandamus actions. Through this work, she developed strong strategic judgment in guiding clients through evolving immigration processes and high-stakes legal situations.

In criminal defense matters, Ms. Chen has represented clients across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York, and has collaborated with attorneys nationwide on complex criminal cases. She is committed to protecting her clients’ rights throughout the criminal process and advocating for the best possible outcomes under the law.

Ms. Chen also has experience in business law, contract drafting and review, real estate matters, and wills and estate planning, advising individuals and business clients on practical legal solutions that support both personal and commercial needs.
